  • Entry Fee: Men's Teams $450/Ladies Teams $450 (All out of town women's teams will receive $100.00 off registration fees)

 

  • Location: Ellerslie Rugby Park (Field Map), 11004 Ellerslie Rd, Edmonton, Alberta

 

  • Host Hotel: Travelodge Edmonton South: 10320 45 Ave. (Map) 780-436-9770. Mention the ETFA when booking your room(s) for the special rate.

  • Hotel Amenities: Indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, complimentary continental breakfast, room service, and valet laundry service. All rooms feature cable TV, hairdryers, irons and ironing boards, complimentary coffee and tea, writing desks, free high-speed Internet access, dataports, and voicemail.

  • Room Rates: $100.00 +GST

Tournament Rules

Round Robin:

  1. Games will be 2 – 30 Minute halves. With 3 minute stop time at the end of each half.
  2. The furthest team will be considered the visiting team & will have choice first. (In the event that teams are from the same city, flip a coin.) They may choose either to receive or choice of end. There will be NO DEFERING. Teams automatically switch ends for the second half. The team that received in the first half will kick off in the second half.
  3. Ties at the end of regulation time will be decided by the yards gained/penetration rule. Each team will receive 3 downs starting at the 35 yard line. Most yards and points gained wins. TD’s scored on the first or second play count, and the ball returns to the 35 yard line for the remaining plays. Punting is NOT allowed. 1 point is awarded for the victory.
  4. A modified mercy rule will be in effect. If at any point in the second half after both teams have had a possession and the score differential is 28 or more points the game is over. The game may continue FOR FUN with no further changes to the score if both teams agree.
  5. Defaulted games will be scored 28-0.

Playoffs:

  1. Games will be 2 – 30 Minute halves. With 3 minute stop time at the end of each half.
  2. The higher ranked team will be given choice in the first half. They may choose either to receive or choice of end. There will be NO DEFERING. Teams automatically switch ends for the second half. The team that received in the first half will kick off in the second half.
  3. Tied games will play a BEST OF 3 converts to determine a winner.  If the teams are still tied after 3 converts, sudden death will occur. Converts will be run as per standard game rules. The higher ranked team will have choice to go first or second.

Finals:

1.      Games will be full 20 minute quarters, with 3 minute stop time at the end of each half. (If agreed upon by both teams the game can be played as 2-30 minute halves.)

2.      The higher ranked team will be given choice in the first half. NO DEFERING. 

Tied games will play a BEST OF 3 converts to determine a winner.  If the teams are still tied after 3 converts, sudden death will occur. Converts will be run as per standard game rules. The higher ranked team will have choice to go first or second.
